I've been really bogged down with work lately, but I'd be lying if I said that was the reason I haven't written an entry lately. There have been several reasons, including a dodgy Internet connection, but the main factor is really a lack of inspiration. In other words, my life has become such a drag that I've nothing interesting to write about.

I wouldn't call it writer's block, because I don't consider myself a writer, but I sure as hell am finding it tough to let the words flow. Anyway, I'm getting a couple of days off work soon, so I hope that this well-needed break will be sufficient for me to recharge my batteries.

Moving on, I was in the supermarket a couple of days ago, getting some groceries and the usual necessities. I was innocently doing my shopping, and lo and behold, I saw two of my colleagues. One of them, Sara, was an executive who could be considered my peer, but the other person, Jack, is several years older, as is a very senior figure in the firm. As you would probably have guessed by now, I saw the two of them dating. Yes, holding hands and getting all lovey-dovey.

Now, the interesting thing is that I never knew these two people were dating. Heck, they hardly even speak to each other in the office. And the best part is, Jack is married. Now, I haven't mentioned this to anyone in the firm since Jack is after all a powerful person within the corporation and I am within his direct chain of command. The thing that really surprises me, though, is the fact that Jack has always been the "family guy", who always gushes about his wife and kids. I guess the only point of this entry is that appearances can be deceiving.

Whoa! It's been more than a month since I last updated. Oh well, I started off in my new job at the beginning of this month, and have been pretty busy ever since. I won't go so far as to say that this is a great job, but I will say that I am pretty contented so far, despite the enormous workload. Still, it's pretty early to make an educated comment, so we'll see how it goes.

Anyway, my work commitments coupled have left me with little time for my personal life. I have seen K a couple of times, but it was always in a group, so I haven't had the opportunity to ask if he'd confessed to P yet. In light of that, I guess you can say that this update is pretty much a non-update as far as that complicated love triangle is concerned. I dunno why I put so much thought into it, when I'm merely an outsider in this saga. It shouldn't have to be this hard for innocent bystanders.

That being said, I guess I have no further updates. Till later...

I've been pretty busy lately, but managed to have a chat with K. Taking into account our long-standing friendship, I decided to approach the conversation with a seemingly non-confrontational nature. The gist of the story is I presented K with an ultimatum. As dramatic as it sounds, it was really quite a civil affair. Nevertheless, I did imply in no uncertain terms that if he did not confess to P by the end of the month, I would hae to do it.

Unexpectedly, he took the news pretty well. Even sought out my opinion on how to break the news with the minimum amount of emotional damage. Stay tuned for the conclusion to this saga.

On a totally unrelated note, I have now completed my contractual notice to my current employer, and am officially on leave. I will be having minimal access to the Internet until I start my new job next month. Even then, who knows whether I'll have time to update? For now though, I guess I can safely say that updates will be few and far between.
